It’s promising to be a beautiful marathon weekend as we are coming to the highlight of the spring season.

The world will be watching closely to the London Marathon where Eliud Kipchoge will start the race for the first time as the world record holder. Surrounded by a strong team Eliud hopes to become the first man in history to win the prestigious event for the fourth time.

The team will be completed by Mule Wasihun and Bashir Abdi with Gideon Kipketer and Eric Kiptanui as pacemakers. 

In the women’s race Tadelech Bekele will return to London full of confidence after finishing 3rd in last year’s race and looking for another standout performance.

Also on Sunday is the beautiful Hamburg Marathon which features some key names this year. Two time World Champion Abel Kirui and former Olympic and world champion Stephen Kiprotich will be looking for triumph as well as Ayele Abshero while Dibabe Kuma and Jackline Chepngeno will be starting in the women’s field.
